Abundance Deep Dive: Day 21

Abundance Deep Dive: Day 21

Dear Diary,

Today was all about Play!  What do we do for FUN and how we can inject that into our personal and professional life.

Well, having FUN is my job, and I teach people to let go, have courage, and trust me as I guide them to learn something new.  I love watching the lightbulb moments, and how their walls slowly come down as the class progresses.

The most uptight, analytical people are the ones that often have the most fun, and are so impressed and amazed with themselves when they realize that they are in fact creative!

They usually have the most appreciation for the work that it takes, and are the first to want to buy all the tools and supplies to repeat the process at home.

These are my favourite students!  They learn to lean in, and surrender to the process.  What we are making isn’t complicated or impossible.  What makes it a challenge is not knowing how your heart and soul will manifest itself in the piece they are creating.  It can be scary to trust that warm fuzzy feeling that feels exciting and daunting at the same time, especially when you tend to ignore that feeling on a day-to-day basis.

I live in that feeling.

Like a happy, sparkly bubble.  Sometimes it feels like I go around sprinkling glitter on everyone as they’re learning, and before they know it, they’re sparkly too.

I get paid to come up with crazy ideas, work out the bugs and details, and then teach the process to people that want to learn how.

I love trying new things, and when they fail, which they often do, I remember the lesson and include that in the workshops.  The do’s and don’ts are equally important.

Today I reminisce about the best classes I’ve had, and what I’d like to create for my future.  A woman sent me a message to ask about the Retreat I just cancelled, and it gave me hope that my path will still include spending time with students.  It might look a little different, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

I realize that in order for me to continue to have FUN doing this work, it needs to be fresh and new, and constantly changing.  I do not do well in routine, and making the same things over and over again.  I’d much rather fail over and over trying to create something new!

I’m starting to dream about the wild and crazy projects I can create, so I’m going to sign off now.

Until Tomorrow!
